Fighting Skills: Trained as a United States Marine with a profiancy with the new M4 carbine and also good knowledge in the inner-working of many of the different kinds of modernized Marine transports that are on the ground or amphibious. He also has received his black belt in the Marine corps initiated marital arts program. He also has gone through the police acdemy and graduated pretty close to the top of his class. He after all isn't perfict.
Other Skills: He's good as a handy man around a modern American home. He also can pick up quickly on curse words in different languages except Spanish.
Powers (if applicable): None, zip, nadda!
Special Limitations: Johnathan has the same limitations as an adult male of his age and body type should. He also tends to hesitate if children are in danger.
Physical Description: Sandy blonde hair cut short. Blue eyes too with a well tanned skin-tone from working outside a great deal. He looks very fit for his age except for the fact he often will look just a little haggard by his life.
Personality: John tends to be a very single-minded individual. He tends to push himself right up to his limitations in everything he does. He sees no reason not to and is bothered deeply if he can’t do anything productive. If he isn’t working on something he's planning things out in his mind.He also has issues with letting things rest. If he picks up on something he views as important he worries over it like a dog chews a bone. He'll pick it apart several different ways until he comes up with a very clear answer. He is also very loyal to anyone who he trusts. There are ways to gain his trust bbut often it takes a long period of time or for them to be a superior. If his trust is earned he'll be ready to follow that person to hell and back. So long as it doesn't brealk the chain of command too much. He still finds it very easy to fall back on everything the Marines taught him. Though he will think for himself and offer his opions when he thinks they are needed. He is also a very dedicated father to his young son. He tends to carry around a picture of his son in one pocket if he can. If he could he would totally flood the world with pictures of his son.
History: John was born and raised a New Yorker. And his parents were natives too. His father was a high school math teacher while his mother Sara was a nurse in an ER. They rasied John to be a very responsible young man. He was for the most part, getting into the occasional trouble with teachers for slacking off a little bit.
When he hit high school though that was another story. He met the love of his life Anita Brynt. Oh sure they butted heads for about a year over everything under the sun. It was great. Then one day she pinned him against his locker and kissed him senseless. He was hooked on her from that day on. Like a love struck puppy. Their feelings matured as they went through high school. After they both were eighteen and graduated they both enlisted in the United States Marine Core. Like many young Marines after basic training they had their month long period of being crazy. They spent the next year getting used to being marines full time.
Then when they were both twenty-one they finally got married. John will always remember that day, it was one of the best days of his life. He could even ignore the changes going on in the world. Like mutants being real or people being upset over it.
A few years latter he and Anita had their first and only child, Alexander James O'Dale. It was six months latter that his mother died while her platoon was on a humanitarian mission off the coast of India. It took John a month to work past the bitter feelings. He just kept very neutral over his feelings. After all he couldn't truly express any political feelings over the matter while he was enlisted. Besides, his father also passed away the same year. He had to think about his Mother and son. He did. He talked his Mother into moving in with him and little Alex. It made things so much easier to have them together so he could see them as much as possible while he was on leave. And his mother seemed happy to take over the primary care of her grandson.
He did well in New York as a cop. And when the offer for a job in Gotham came he took it moving himself and his son to Gotham. There he took on similar responsiblities that he had in Gotham and is looking forward to his young son starting up pre-school.
